The Harborside is a very long complex near the Hudson riverside, a few steps away from the Exchange Place PATH station. It's just a long hallway with many shops all along, where to find the most convenient things you might want to get on your workday. There's a CVS pharmacy (good), a couple restaurants (good), a Bank of America branch (good, if you are a Bank of America customer), and tons of useless shops nobody gets into. Ever.Even better, there's a pretty big food court. Now, I hate food courts as much as I hate malls, but you gotta admit they're convenient in some cases, especially when you're stuck in a city that sucks as much as Jersey City. When you say "food court" you expect to find "a place where many different choices of food can be found, enough for you to find at least a couple you'll like". Not in Jersey, though. The best thing you'll ever get is a salad, and that's only if you get lucky. Other than that, there's bad, overcooked, dry Italian food; bad, tasteless, oily Asian food; bad, tasteless hamburgers; bad, tasteless desserts; and a surprisingly large amount of people waiting in line to get some of these.
And of course, it's all tainted with those amazingly achieved brown and beige colors. You know, those colors you always wanted to be surrounded with, and all with some details in petrol green to make it feel even more lively. Add some fluorescent lights, and you're in food court Heaven. All in all, get the hell out of here as fast as you can, before you start thinking about getting some Prozac at that CVS pharmacy conveniently close by.
